The High Bridge Borough Police Department is NOW ACCEPTING applications for the position of POLICE
OFFICER.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Citizen of the United States and resident of the State of New Jersey;
- Of good mental and bodily health;
- Able to read, write and speak the English language well and intelligently;
- Of good moral character and free from conviction of any crime constituting an indictable offense or any crime or offense involving moral turpitude;
- Able to pass such written, oral, physical and psychological examinations;
- A graduate of a high school, vocational high school or possess an approved equivalent certificate;
- Valid NJ Driver’s License;
- Able to otherwise meet all requirements of N.J.S.A. 40A:14-122 to 40A:14-127.1;
- Currently NJPTC Certified: BCPO, Alternate Route Graduates or currently enrolled in a BCPO course, SLEO II or BCI Waiver Eligible Certifications (J.A.C. 13:1-8.4).
While not required, it is preferred that applicants are able to read, write, speak, understand, or communicate in both Spanish and English sufficiently to perform the duties.
