About Our Department:

Located in northwestern Morris County New Jersey, the Township of Mount Olive is a rapidly growing community of over 28,000 people. The Township covers 32 square miles and is home to Budd Lake, the largest natural lake in the state. The Township is crossed by Interstate 80, Routes 206 and 46. The Police Department, established in 1929, currently has 50 sworn officers supported by a civilian staff of Communications Officers, Records Clerks, & School Crossing Guards. 

Requirements:

Must be a citizen of the United States and NJ resident
Must possess a valid NJ drivers license
Must possess a high school diploma, or equivalency
Must be of good moral character
Must be at least eighteen years old
Must not have been convicted of a crime
Must have an Associates Degree or have attained 60 college credits

NOTE: Township Ordinance requires all perspective Police Officer Candidates to have met the above requirements at the time of a conditional job offer.
