Camden County (Metro) Police Department

The CCPD believes that the people we serve (the people we work for) not only deserve a seat at the table but are critical in cultivating a police department that meets the needs of everyone. That’s why, in our quest for transformation, we have decided to create the Unity Policing model, a bold new style of policing that harnesses the collective power of officers, residents, and community leaders to prevent crime, promote safety, and improve society.

What is Unity Policing?

Unity Policing is CCPD’s very own new style of policing built on the principles of de-escalation, wellness, leadership, transparency, and empathy; guided by the idea that the collective community (police, residents, business/organizations, government, and schools) must act as a unified force to prevent crime, promote safety, and improve society.

The Opportunity

Given our commitment to betterment, the CCPD is striving for meaningful, positive, and lasting change that will meet the moment (and beyond!) We are incredibly excited for the opportunity to implement the Unity Policing model in Camden, where unprecedented input and collaboration with the people will be crucial in helping us to serve more and protect better.
