GENERAL DUTIES

Exercise authority consistent with the obligations imposed by the oath of office and in conformance with the general duties of the Department. To protect life and property, preserve the peace and perform their duties promptly, faithfully and diligently.

SALARY

Starting Salary for Probationary Officer(s) $50,613.71

Accepting Lateral transfers within NJ up to 4 years experience.

Branchburg Township has a resident population of approximately 14,500
Branchburg Township is a semi-rural town that has growing residential and business communities
Branchburg Township currently has 26 full-time sworn officers dedicated to providing security, protection, and professional service to the residents of Branchburg Township.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be between 21 and 35 years of age
Must be US Citizen and a Resident of New Jersey
Must have (at minimum) a High School Diploma
College Degree and/or at least two years Military service preferred
Must Possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s License
Must have full BCPO PTC Certification
Must be able to successfully pass a full Background Check
