Senior Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Police
The City of Duluth, Georgia is accepting applications for the position of SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO THE CHIEF OF POLICE.
The Senior Administrative Assistant to the Chief is responsible for providing administrative and confidential clerical support to the Chief of Police and other Administrative staff in the police department. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for preparing memos and administrative documents, preparing weekly reports and scheduling and coordinating travel, special events or appointments on behalf of the Chief of Police and other Administrative Staff.
The City is seeking an individual with good communication skills and one who deals with the public and other city employees in a cordial, tactful and professional manner. The individual must also have experience with performing detail-oriented administrative duties. The individual must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and be of the highest moral character.
A high school diploma, state issued GED, or equivalent is required. At least 2 years of experience in criminal justice/law enforcement environment is required. Knowledge of various computer programs to include Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Laserfiche is required. Fluency in a foreign language is desirable.
Hiring range $21.06 per hour; Grade 21 (Annualized is $43,804), with starting salary based on qualifications.
