HAMPTON POLICE DEPARTMENT
Police Dispatcher
The Hampton Police Department is seeking an experienced Police Dispatcher for the position of Full-Time Communications Specialist. The community of Hampton is a tourist destination located along the beautiful New Hampshire seacoast. Our agency serves a year round population of 15,000 residents that increases to over 100,000 during the busy summer months.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team consisting of 9 civilians who support 39 full-time sworn officers and over 20 part-time sworn officers. Our dispatch center is located within the Police Department at Hampton Beach. We are a 24-hour operation that is fast-paced and multi-functioning. Candidates should have strong communication skills, possess the ability to analyze situations quickly and objectively while under pressure, and have basic phone, radio, and computer skills. Qualified candidates who speak a second language are highly desirable.
Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Drivers License
- Prior public safety dispatching experience preferred but not required

Schedule
- 40 Hours per week, plus overtime opportunities: 4 days on 2 days off - Rotating shifts, Nights, Weekends and Holidays
- Shifts include 8a-4p, 4p-12p, 12p-8a
