ABOUT OUR DEPARTMENT

The Wyckoff Police Department employs 26 Police Officers who are assigned to various divisions including Patrol, Traffic, and the Detective Bureau.

As an accredited agency, the Wyckoff Police department is committed to providing the utmost professional and transparent form of policing.  For many years, our officers have worked to strengthen relationships and build trust within our community.   Today is no different.  We sympathize with the family, friends and community of George Floyd.  This tragic act in Minneapolis, Minnesota is not a reflection of our department, nor is it a reflection of the vast majority of law enforcement. The main priority of our officers is our community and their safety.  We will regardless of color, race, religion, sexual orientation or gender, continue to treat you fairly and justly at all times.  They Wyckoff police Department is better today than we were yesterday, and we will continually strive to be better each day moving forward.  Thank you for you continued support. Together, we will all make positive changes.

Our Mission Statement: ​​The Wyckoff Township Police Department is committed to serve and protect all people within our jurisdiction with integrity, respect, fairness and compassion. Our mission is to provide professional law enforcement services while working in partnership with those whom we serve.

ABOUT OUR COMMUNITY

Since its first settlement in the early 18th Century and eventual incorporation in 1926, Wyckoff, New Jersey has developed into a lovely tree-lined residential community of approximately 16,000 residents. The Township of Wyckoff comprises seven square miles and is only 27 miles from New York City.
