Hiring Announcement SLEO I Police Officer

Job Description:

The Special Law Enforcement Officer, Class I (SLEO I) is a seasonal employee of the Police Department. They shall be authorized to perform traffic control & spectator control. The SLEO I officer of Brigantine will also enforce Local Ordinances and Title 39 statutes regarding beach enforcement and parking enforcement. Officers are also required to provide essential public safety and law enforcement services for the department.

Applicant Must:

  • be a United States citizen.
  • be a resident of the State of New Jersey;
  • have a valid New Jersey Driver’s License (non-probationary);
  • be 18 years old;
  • have a High School diploma or GED;
  • be able to read, write, speak and comprehend the English Language well and intelligently;
  • be sound in body and of good health and be able to perform the physical functions of the duties assigned;
  • be of good moral character and shall not have been convicted of any crime or offense involving moral turpitude;
  • be able to pass a psychological examination;
  • be able to pass a medical screening examination;
  • be able to pass a drug test;

 

Salary:

  • Beginning salary is $15.13/hour
