*** JOB ANNOUNCEMENT***

 This entry-level position includes EMS Duties at the BLS/ALS level, as well as duties consistent with fire suppression. You will be a MEMBER of a highly skilled team that delivers EMS, Fire Suppression, Rescue Services and other emergency and routine services to the community; will work various EMS department shifts.

Qualifications:

The following QUALIFICATIONS are required, at the time of application:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid Driver's License.
• Hold a current licensure as an AEMT-Cardiac in the State of Rhode Island or a higher licensure.
• Must have a current Certificate of Physical Performance Assessment (PPA) from the Rhode Island Association of Fire Chief’s.

Additional Qualifications:

• Firefighter I/II- Preferred
• Must be a U.S. Citizen at the time of appointment.
• Must present a current Rhode Island Advanced EMT / Cardiac or EMT-Paramedic license at the time of appointment.

• Background investigation and reference check – if offered employment.
• Interview with Senior Management.
• Psychological evaluation – if offered employment.
