About the Branford Police Department


The Branford Police Department is directed by Chief Jon Mulhern and staffed by a team of Connecticut Police Officer Standards and Training (POSTC) certified law enforcement officers, Connecticut-certified Telecommunicators, and civilian support staff. Additional services provided to the town include a Police Social Worker, a Youth Detective, a Crime Analyst, as well as specialized units including the South Central Connecticut Traffic Unit, South Central Regional SWAT Team, Marine Unit, Canine Unit, Bicycle Unit and Motorcycle Unit.
