Job Announcement:

ENGLISHTOWN BOROUGH POLICE DEPARTMENT

 Full Time Police Officer

The Borough of Englishtown Police Department is accepting applications to fill an open Full Time Police Officer position. Prospective applicants must possess a NJ PTC Class A Certification or a S.L.E.O. II Certification that is eligible to be waived to a Class A Certification and be under no contractual obligation to another police department under NJSA 40A:14-178, or must be willing to satisfy any training reimbursement requirement to the prior department.

Additional Qualifications:
1. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
2. Must be a resident of the State of New Jersey during term of appointment
3. Must be at least 18 years of age
4. Must be able to read, write and speak the English language well and intelligently
5. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
6. Must be sound in body and of good health and be able to perform the physical functions of the duties assigned
7. Must be of good moral character and shall not have been convicted of any crime or offense involving moral turpitude
8. Must successfully undergo the same psychological testing that is required of full time police officers
