Minimum Requirements
- Minimum age of 18, maximum age of 35 (unless actively enrolled in the NJ Police & Fire Division of Pensions & Benefits)
- Must have valid Basic Police Officer Certification from the New Jersey Police Training Commission or currently enrolled in a N.J.P.T.C. Certified Police Academy or possess a SLEO II certificate (waiver candidates).
- Must be a citizen of the United States of America and the State of New Jersey.
- Be able to read and write English language.
- Have not been convicted of any violations of the laws of the State of New Jersey or the United States.
- Provide proof of a High School diploma or approved High School equivalency certificate.
- Possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s License
Job Description:

- 2024 Starting Salary: $57,606 (after completion of FTO)

- Patrolman salary range $57,606 - $94,722 (negotiable depending on experience)
- Pitman Schedule
- Off-duty police services hourly rate: 2024 $90.00, 2025: $95.00
