Telecommunications Specialist

- PAY RATE: $25.00/ hr.
- LOCATION: Sheriff's Office- Goffstown
- SCHEDULE: Full time- 40 Hours Per Week- Nights, Weekends, & Holidays
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
The position of Telecommunications Specialist is a non-sworn position and is responsible for the efficient operation of a multi-agency emergency dispatch center. This position is responsible for receiving and dispatching emergency and non emergency calls for service by telephone, radio, and/or computer, providing information to first responders and to the public, and operating the NCIC/SPOTS terminal.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
The successful candidate must be of good moral character, have good communication skills, possess the ability to multi task, work efficiently under pressure, exercise good common sense and be able to analyze situations quickly and objectively.
Candidates must be a United States Citizen and be a minimum of I 8 years of age, must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess typing skills.
The hiring process may consist of the following; written examination; oral interview; background investigation; psychological test; medical examination, agency interview(s) and other test as deemed necessary to determine his/her fitness for the position, and successfully complete a probationary period.
