POLICE OFFICER
The Hobart Police Department is now accepting applications for general and lateral applicants. The Written Test, Physical Agility Test and Panel Interview will all take place on March 9th @ Hobart PD with more info to follow upon application submission.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Be 20-39 years of age (21 at appointment)
- Hold a high school diploma or GED
- Be a United States Citizen
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Have no prior felony convictions
SALARY
- Recruit Officer: $55,000; $68,725 after 1 year.
- Certified Officer: $68,725 (after FTO)

TESTING REQUIREMENTS
- Written Test*
- Physical Fitness Test* (ILEA Exit Standards)
- Panel Interview
- Background Investigation
- Administrative Interview
- Medical and Psychiatric Evaluation
- Acceptance into INPRS 1977 PERF Fund
*Certified (Lateral Applicants) With a POST certified academy graduation and 1 year or more of full-time service will be exempt from Written and Physical Fitness testing.
