North Smithfield Fire and Rescue is accepting applications for the
position of Firefighter/AEMT-Cardiac.
The following requirements must be met at the time of application:
- Minimum age: 18
- Must possess a High school diploma or GED
- Applicant must be a citizen of the United States.
- Must possess a current Rhode Island Association of Fire Chief's Physical Performance Assessment (PPA) certificate.
- Must possess a current Rhode Island Association of Fire Chief's Written Exam Certificate with a passing score of 70 or higher.
Applicants must submit the following with their application:
- Copy of your resume with references.
- Copy of your valid drivers license.
- Copy of your birth certificate.
- Copy of your high school diploma or GED.
- Copy of your current Rhode Island Association of Fire Chief's Physical Performance Assessment (PPA) certificate.
- Copy of your current Rhode Island Association of Fire Chiefs Written Exam Certificate, with a passing score of 70 or higher.
- Copy of your Rhode Island EMT license (if licensed).
- Copy of any degree or certification certificates.
Candidates being considered for hire must:
- Have no criminal record.
- Submit to and pass a state and federal criminal back ground check.
- Submit to and pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
- Submit to and pass a pre-employment psychological screening.
