Police Officer
Minimum Qualifications:
- Resident of New Jersey and Citizen of United States
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language
- 60 college credits
- 18 to 35 years of age
- Possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s license
- Possess a valid New Jersey PTC Basic Course for Police Officers, Alternate Route Graduate certificate, or Class II Special Officer –Waiver Eligible
- Must be of good moral character, sound body, and good health
- No criminal record
- Able to pass medical examination, psychological examination, background examination and drug screening.
Police Officers appointed are on probation for a period of one (1) year. Interested applicants will submit a resume along with completed West Long Branch Police Department Application for Employment through PoliceApp. All applications and resumes will be reviewed and only applicants chosen to move forward in the hiring process will be contacted.

Starting Salary and Benefits Include:
- Probationary salary starts at $39,575.00
- Police and Fireman’s Retirement System
